(1951)
Jesus comes to Earth, and typically the US Military-Industrial complex want to kill him. The unforgiving portrayal of the military as an ignorant machine is one of this classic film’s great virtues.
It's boggling that Patricia Neal lets little Bobby run all over Washington with a strange man, particularly since he keeps going on about how wonderful the boy is, and has no discernable interest in her.
Great theremin, Robert Wise's direction is assured and the effects stand up extremely well. The line about keeping planes and hospitals running is a bit half-arsed, however.
