(2009)
In a weird way, the worst thing I can say about this is how nonsensical the time travel premise of the preceding films is.
Because, until the last 5 minutes or so, this is a fairly solid movie. There are several phenomenal set pieces (the extended Mad Max-esque chase sequence/Transformers slamdown early in the film is outstanding).
Bale's character has clearly been shoehorned in, and the soul of the film - in a good way - is with Marcus' character (which makes the unquestioning denouement all the more nauseating). The dialogue is atrociously by the numbers for the most part, but McG's execution of set pieces raises this way above the lacklustre third installment.
It's not really a "Terminator" film as we know it (but the "Arnie" cameo works really well) but in and of itself it's very entertaining.
