(2007)
Better than it has any right to be, burdened as it is by a Paul W Anderson script.
I've always had a degree of goodwill towards Russell Mulcahy, even though he's only ever made two halfway decent movies (Highlander and Ricochet), but here he pulls out all the stops to turn in a Mad Max-zombie hybrid that proceeds at a good pace and even offers the occasional startling moment (the shallow grave full of Milla Jovovich clones).
Iain Glen lends support as an obsessed scientist. The ending is a bit daft, and there appears to be some weird airbrushing going on with Milla's face. I'd previously only seen the first movie, which was quite the ropey CGI-overload, and I've never played the games; maybe that's why I found this a lot of fun.
