(2007)
Given the critical lambasting I was expecting the next Spiceworld, but for the most part this is enjoyable fluff.
Rarely laugh-out-loud funny, but watchably totty-ful and great turns from a very game Rupert Everett (he's no Alastair Sim, but who is?) and Colin Firth (his willingness to continue sending up his role as D'Arcy in Pride & Prejudice umpteen years on puts him leagues ahead of most humourless luvvies). Even Russell Brand, though no actor, was entertaining.
Any film that homages Hudson Hawk's dog kicking sequence can't be all bad (I like to think it's that, rather than the one in There's Something About Mary) and there are some great lines (and a huge number of drug references).
"Does Anyone have smelling salts?"
"No, but I've got poppers."
"Oh, my God! You want to steal Scarlett Johanssen?"
