(2011)
The first hour is verging on a *****; tense, thrilling and disorientating. However, after the premise becomes fully clear it is all too speedily wrapped up.
In contrast to some reviewers, I do like the tone of the ending (perhaps because I was expecting it to run a different, inevitable course).
Stylish direction from Duncan Jones; you can see him aping Hitchcock by way of De Palma (I kept thinking this would be ideal De Palma material). The effects are clearly on a budget, but Chris Bacon's score effectively maxs-up the sense of a Hitch-homage.
