(2006)
Much-maligned, but as well put together as most of Michael Mann's films. The real problem is that Fox and Farrell don't convince as cops, let alone undercover ones.
The supporting cast does much to remedy that, from minor roles for the likes of John Hawkes and Eddie Marsan to an impressively nuanced turn from John Ortiz as the most conspicuous antagonist.
Gong Li suits the ambient moods cast by Mann, but unfortunately the romance plotline with Farrell reminded me of Mission: Impossible 2 (as in, it was slightly bombastic and I didn't really buy it).
