(2010)
Unashamed B-Movie version riff on Heat, but with enough decent ideas and suspense sequences of its own to make it worth a look.
Idris Elba, Paul Walker and (a surprisingly okay) Hayden Christensen are the big names in a gang of thieves unwisely choosing to rob an armoured car just days after their previous heist. Matt Dillon is the cop bent on tracking them down.
The characterisation is clunky in the extreme, striking every cliché you can think of, but the cast keep it interesting and the direction is by turns clumsy and stirring. The central heist is well-conceived and an ensuing extended foot chase sequence may prove the director is not fit to kiss Kathryn Bigelow's feet (I'm thinking Point Break), but it's entertaining nonetheless.
